Tecno Spark 10C Specification

Detailed Review

So, there are actually three phones that make up the Tecno Spark 10 series. We have the Tecno Spark 10, we have the Tecno Spark 10 Pro, and also we have the third one Tecno Spark 10c. Tecno Spark 10c is first in the list of best mobile under 30000 in Pakistan.

When you open the box of the phone, you will discover that Tecno is continuing the tradition of always including every necessary accessory along with the phone. So, you have a charging brick, you have a charging cable, you have wired earphones, and of course, a pouch or a case that you can use to cover the front.

It comes in two different colors – we have the starry black, which I have here, and also the pale white.

The first thing you notice is how glossy the back of this phone is. And when you carry the phone up to your face, you discover that it’s actually like a mirror – you can see yourself in it. And the glossy back actually means that it’s going to attract a whole lot of dust, fingerprints, and other things like that. So, that is where the case comes in very handy. Right on the down part of it, you’re going to see the Tecno Spark branding written on it, and at the top part, you’re going to see the camera arrangement.

At the downside of the phone, you’re going to see a single speaker. They are not stereo speakers, but trust me, they’re loud enough for anything that you want to do with it. A Type-C charging port, a microphone, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack that takes the headphones that came with the packaging. And on the right side of the phone, you’re going to see the volume up and down keys, we also have the unlock button that doubles as the fingerprint sensor. While on the left side of the phone, you’re going to see the SIM card tray, which when you remove it, you’re going to notice it takes two 4G SIM cards and a space for a memory card.

Now, in terms of the design of this phone, it looks decent, it looks flagship with the almost flat edges, though not as flat as the Tecno Spark 10 Pro because it can’t really stand on its own when I try to, but still, it gives it that very nice design. As for build quality, it’s made of plastic; the back, the glossy back, is made of plastic, and also the sides. So, you really wouldn’t expect anything much more than that for an entry-level phone.

Now, when you flip the phone over and put it on, the first thing you actually get to see is the teardrop notch that houses the front-facing camera, which we are going to get to much later. Now talking about the screen, it’s a 6.6-inch HD Plus LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hertz and a resolution of 720p. And that’s just about what we had with Tecno Spark 9 last year. This device is powered by the Tiger T616 processor, an eight-core unit salt processor that is optimized mainly for battery performance. It really doesn’t do well when it comes to CPU and gaming performance but a little above average when it comes to battery management. Is it a bad processor? The answer is no. The ratings are quite close to what we have with the Exynos 850 that we have in the Samsung Galaxy A14. So once again, in terms of processor and performance, this smartphone is best suitable for basic smartphone experiences – things you do on the day-to-day like making calls, instant messaging, going on Facebook, and other social media applications, and things like that. Other than that, you should not expect too much from this one.

Regarding memory, the Tecno Spark 10c comes in two variants – we have the 4GB/128GB and also the 8GB/128GB. But the existing Tecno phones called memory fusion, where you are able to increase the RAM of your phone by using a part of the ROM, means you have enough RAM power to be able to do all the computing on the phone seamlessly and more smoothly. Out of the box, the Tecno Spark 10c is coming with Android 12. And for me, I feel that is not really encouraging, coming from Tecno, going by the fact that the Tecno Spark 9 of last year actually had the same Android 12 on it and we couldn’t operate. So, that means we may not actually be able to upgrade this to Android 13.

Now, at the back of the phone, you see the camera arrangement. It looks just like the Tecno Spark 10 Pro, but this time around, we’re having a 16-megapixel main camera and also an AI camera. There isn’t really much you want to expect from the camera at this price point. So just tell me what you think about the pictures.

In terms of video, the highest resolution you get out of the Tecno Spark 10c is 1080p at 30 frames per second. I’m talking about the front-facing camera; it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with AI features. Now, these AI features that come with Tecno phones are something I really like because it’s able to analyze what you’re trying to take pictures of and adjust accordingly while taking these pictures. When I’m taking a human, it’s able to identify it. If I’m trying to take a street view, it’s able to identify it. If I’m taking houses or cars, it can actually identify these objects and adjust the resolution and everything accordingly.

So really, that is just everything that you need to know about the Tecno Spark 10c. And the question now is, who should actually be getting this phone? Now, I have two sets of people I feel that this phone is actually made for. The first set are those people who already have a flagship, whether it’s an Android device or an iPhone, and just need a second phone to have their SIM cards in it to be able to make calls and carry out basic operations. Then this smartphone will actually be suitable for you in that aspect. Now, the second set of people are those who want to buy this phone for their older folks or their parents at home or in the village, who just need a phone that you can reach to reach them with, they have good battery life, and of course, a processor that is also able to maximize battery performance. So, there’s two people I feel that this smartphone is made for.

Infinix Smart 7 Specification

Detailed Review

Who can use this phone? Is this phone capable of running games? What are the smartphone’s other features? and the quality of camera samples I am going to answer all these questions.

Infinix Smart 7 is 2nd in the list of best mobile under 30000 in 2024. Infinix Smart 7 comes with a 6000 mAh battery, because of which it’s a bit heavy, its design is very interesting. The smartphone is available in exciting color options. If you observe the back carefully, then wave-patterns are present to give the phone a unique look. When you hold the phone in your hand, then it feels good. You also get the best grip due to these wave-patterns. This is an antibacterial back, which means a hygienic back. The smartphone’s back fights the bacteria in a way and keeps the phone clean. This phone comes with positive silver ion-charged panels. So this is also a unique feature of this phone.

This handset is not that slim. It comes with flat sides, and the back is also flat in a way. The camera module is largely on the inside. At the side, some buttons are present. If you see at the bottom, then the phone comes with a TYPE-C port. Usually, you don’t get a TYPE-C port at this price point. An audio jack is also given. A fingerprint sensor is also present next to the camera.

Apart from the phone, the box has a SIM tray ejector pin, a USB to TYPE-C cable. This is a 10W charger and is of 5V 2Amp. A plastic back cover is present to protect the smartphone. The phone has a triple slot, and let me tell you this is a 4G phone, not a 5G phone.

The phone has a 6.6 inches HD+ display. Display quality is good at this price point. The built-in speaker of this smartphone is of good quality. The sound is loud too. The phone has a single speaker.

Let’s check other specs of the phone. The phone is running Android 12. Out of the box, it comes with a 13MP dual-camera setup. The front camera is 5MP. 4GB+3GB RAM is present; 3GB is virtual RAM. The phone comes with 64GB internal storage and a 6000mAh battery. The Unisoc Octa-Core Processor has been used in this phone. You won’t be able to play games on it.

The smartphone is good for normal usage. It’s good for FB, WhatsApp, emails, and chatting. This is the camera interface, and the portrait option is present in it too. You’ll be able to shoot videos in a max of 1080p. The phone shoots decent portrait shots. You can definitely share the pictures on Social Media. Long-distance shots are also good. In case you use some filters, then you might get some good pictures. Again, you can share them on Social Media too. Low-light shots are not impressive. The stability option is not present in this phone. You will not get a stability option at this price.

The 6000mAh battery of the phone can easily give 2-3 days of battery life. A 10W charger is present inside the box. Charging is going to take time.

So, is this a good option? The hardware used in the phone is of ok-ok type and not that powerful. Camera quality is also ok. The display’s quality is average, but battery performance is too good. This smartphone is specially designed for basic usage. Definitely, it’s a better option than a feature phone. Nowadays, most banking transactions from Gpay and Paytm take place through a smartphone. So from that point too, it’s a good option at such a price. By the way, the more money you spend, the better quality you will get.

Honor X5 Specification

Detailed Review

Honor X5 is the company’s latest entry-level phone. Honor X5 is 3rd in the list of best phone under 30000 in 2024. When it comes to the design and build quality of the X5, the phone looks like a typical mid-range device that we are also used to seeing. The back panel is made from textured plastic material, which I actually really like, as it doesn’t attract fingerprints or smudges. I’m sure you have also noticed by now that there is a huge camera bump, and at first glance, you would think there are a couple of lenses there. However, there’s only one single camera lens with a huge cutout for the LED flash.

The frame is also made from plastic, and the screen has the famous water drop notch for the front camera, and the bottom of the screen has a decent-sized bezel. Generally, the design is quite generic and something we are used to seeing. The bottom of the phone houses the single firing speaker, the only microphone, a headphone jack, and lastly, there is a micro USB port for charging. This is quite unacceptable, in my opinion, as we see many companies adopting USB-C even at this price point.

The left-hand side has the hybrid dual SIM slot, and there is a rubber ring around the SIM card tray, which is nice to see. Even though there is no official water rating on this phone, I like the fact that Honor is going the extra mile to ensure the device has some water protection. The right-hand side of the phone has the power button and volume rockers, so no fingerprint sensor on this phone, which is a letdown.

The phone comes in three colors, namely the Sunrise Orange, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black. Taking a look at the display, the Honor X5 has a 6.5-inch display. The size of the display is fantastic, and the high screen-to-body ratio allows for an immersive media experience.

The resolution of the display is 720p with a 60Hz refresh rate, and the panel is TFT LCD. Generally speaking, the screen is what is expected at this price point, and watching videos on this phone is not bad at all. The phone can get decently bright outdoors, but in direct sunlight, you will battle to see the screen.

When it comes to the cameras, the X5 has a single 8-megapixel camera with a flash. I was pleasantly surprised with the image quality. The images are crisp, vibrant, and color accurate. Even portraits work well with this phone, all of this is accomplished with the great AI which is built into this camera. If the lighting is good, the camera performs well.

Also, when it comes to video, the phone battles quite a bit. It takes video at 1080p with 30 frames per second, but there is no stabilization here at all, not even digital stabilization, so video quality is not the greatest and quite shaky. The selfie camera is 5 megapixels, and this is where the face unlock feature of the phone is built in.

In the battery department, the 5000 mah battery on the X5 was great in my testing, and that is one huge advantage of these lower-end devices, they generally give great battery life. You will comfortably get a full day of usage from this phone. Unfortunately, the phone only charges at a slow 10 watts; however, the advantage is that you do get the charger and cable in the box.

Performance-wise, the X5 is using the Helio P22 processor. This processor was released in 2018, and even though it is an octa-core processor, the CPU does show its age, even at lighter tasks. Paired with just 2 gigabytes of RAM without any virtual RAM meant day-to-day performance was average at best.

If you have never used a smartphone before, you may be okay with it, but I think even for the average user, you will find the performance a bit sluggish. Apps take just a bit longer to fire up, and the general experience, I feel, could be better. I tried gaming with this phone so you don’t have to. PUBG and Call of Duty were barely playable, and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Lighter games like Subway Surfer or Smash Hit are fine to play.

Software-wise, the X5 runs on a virtually stock Android 12 Go Edition. The software is nice and clean, and I actually like some of the intuitive features built in. This includes a dark mode and night light to prevent eye strain, adaptive brightness, three-finger screenshot, and Google Translate.

Okay, so to finish off, the Honor X5 will be fine for someone who is getting their first smartphone or even if you want a secondary phone. The battery life and camera performance in good lighting are its strengths. However, the lack of USB-C, outdated chipset, just a single rear camera without versatility, and an average day-to-day performance mean it’s a tough phone to recommend. At the same price point, the Samsung Galaxy A04, which has USB-C, a better and newer processor, a dual-camera setup which includes a 50-megapixel sensor, and 3-4 gigabytes of RAM with up to 4 gigabytes of virtual RAM, means it beats the X5 very well, quite comfortably.

Redmi A1 Plus Specification

Detailed Review

In today’s overpriced environment, people’s purchasing power has declined. There is a single variant phone with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage at a cheap price. This phone has an Android Go edition. Regardless of this cheap price, in the Redmi A1+ we get a fingerprint sensor and a huge battery, and there is also talk about its design being interesting. So, primarily, this is a mass-market product for those who want a basic phone that supports everyday activities and this phone is at 4th position in best mobiles under 30000 list.

There are charging accessories with it, and note that this phone has a micro USB charging port, but because it is an entry-level budget device, I don’t really mind that. The mass market of Pakistan still uses micro USB. And for charging, there is a 10W non-fast-charging power brick, again, since this is an entry-level budget device, I can’t complain too much. And lastly, there are some user manuals and PTA pamphlets in the box.

This phone is better than my expectations. In general, when you hold these kinds of phones in your hand, you feel it right away that it is a cheap phone, but the story here is a little different. And I really like the texture at the back of this phone although it is made of plastic but there is a leather-like pattern here which is very rare in phones. Along with this curved back, flat edges, and this light blue color and the minimalistic camera module. Overall, I found the look of this phone to be very cute. And also keep in mind that plastic phones are more durable than metal or glass, in general. They resist cracks and dents well. But do note that Redmi A1+ does not come with any kind of screen protector; you will have to buy that separately.

Along with this light blue color, this phone also comes in light green and black color. And if we talk about size dimensions here, the thickness is 9.1mm, whereas the weight is 192g. Getting to the button placement and ports, the power button and volume keys are on the right side, there is a single top-firing mono speaker at the top. The SIM tray is on the left side which supports two SIMs and a microSD card. Whereas, at the bottom, there is a mic, micro USB port, and a headphone jack. As I told you during the intro, this phone comes with a back-mounted fingerprint sensor. You can see the speed of which. It is not blazing fast, but is very much usable in my opinion.

Coming to the north-west side of the sensor, there is a dual-camera setup in this camera module, which has an entry-level 8MP main camera, along with a QVGA depth sensor. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie shooter with 2.2 f/2.2 aperture, for selfies. Both the front and back cameras support video recording at a maximum of 1080p @30 fps. Generally, the cameras of these entry-level devices are very basic. So, rather than doing an in-depth review, I should show you some samples, as you can see on the screen. So, you can decide for yourself. But do keep in mind that whenever you want to bring a phone to a lower price point, the camera is the main feature that gets reduced.

Getting to the display, there is a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display in Redmi A1+, which has a resolution of HD+, meaning 720p. The pixel density here is 269 ppi, and there is a dewdrop notch at the top of the display, which houses the phone’s 5MP selfie shooter. The screen-to-body ratio is 81%, and the max brightness of the phone is said to be 400 nits. In displays, 6 1⁄2 inches is considered medium. This phone is neither huge, phablet size nor small. For an average user, this size will provide a good experience while watching videos or movies.

But the thing that will interest people the most is this phone’s performance. This phone comes with Android Go Edition which can be called a lite or diet version of Android 12. There are a lot of Android 12-like functionalities, but the effects of the interface have been slightly reduced. Basically, this Go Edition is designed for phones having low power and RAM. Because there is Mediatek’s Helio A22 chipset present in Redmi A1+, along with PowerVR, GPU 2GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. This Helio A22 is part of Mediatek’s entry line-up; it is a 12 nm chipset, and you cannot expect much power from it. It manages a score of 85,000 – 90,000 in Antutu. Even so, it has low power; I can’t complain much considering the price. In this price range, you’ll find most of the phones having similar processors.

But do not panic because this phone will easily handle daily use apps of most budget users. So, if most of your usage consists of phone calls, messaging, WhatsApp, emails, and Social Media, then you can survive with this phone. And I also saw a very interesting thing regarding this phone: this phone was slow out of the box, the performance was not that snappy, but Redmi A1+ has the functionality to extend RAM. By using which you can extend RAM by ½GB, 1GB, or 2GB. I would recommend that whenever you use this phone, do extend its RAM, even if you have to sacrifice 2GB Storage capacity, because you can get more storage capacity by using an SD card. But by extending the RAM, you will feel the performance slightly better.

The place this phone needs no extension or expansion is its battery size. Because we are getting here a huge 5000 mAh battery, and with a full charge, this phone will keep on going, for most people, a whole day will pass very easily, even 1½ or 2 days, if you have a light usage. And one of the main reasons is that this phone has a 720p display with a low-powered processor. Generally, this combination has positive effects on the battery. But since there is no fast charging here, only 10W charging, it will take a lot of time to charge this battery, 4 to 5 hours for sure, so it’s better to charge it overnight, there is no way you can top it up during the day.

This Redmi A1+ is turning out to be a great device considering the current situation of the market. Redmi A1+ is turning out to be quite a decent device for me. Do keep in mind, whenever there is a reduction in price, we see a huge cut in 2 things, as I told you before, the first is the camera, the second is the processor of the phone. But Redmi A1+ is offering some value in other things: fingerprint sensor, big battery, and a big display, RAM expanded functionality, and this cute design.

Tecno Spark Go 2024 Specification

Detailed Review

Tecno Spark Go 2024 is at 5th position in the list of best phone under 30000. Tecno Spark Go 2024 has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is available in two variants – one with a warranty and one without. When purchasing, make sure to ask whether it is warranty or non-warranty.

On the box Spark Go 2024 is written, 4GB RAM plus 3GB Extend is mentioned here, and 64GB internal storage. Here, you only get one charging cable, and a Type-C charging cable is given here. And lastly, a pin is given here to remove the SIM tray. If we talk about the design, it is very beautiful and has a good-looking design. You get a very cool design here.

If you talk about the physical overview of this device, then you get a power button and volume rocker keys on the side. Nothing is given on the top side. On the left side, you get a SIM tray, and you can use micro SD along with dual SIM. Below, you get a 3.5mm mic, and a Type-C port is given here. Outspeaker grill is found on this device. There is tape on the backside. Dual cameras with LED flash – you get a real fingerprint sensor. And you get a dewdrop notch display on the front side. Tecno Spark Go 2024, so overall, a design-wise device. I like it very much. Beautiful, good-looking colorful design.

If we talk about the display, you get a 6.6-inch HD Plus display here. You will get 720-pixel resolution, and you will get a dewdrop notch display. If we talk about brightness, then you will get proper brightness. It will sit right in the outdoors and indoors. But its price is not good. According to the price, its brightness is not good. Its display could have been better. The refresh rate could have been more. Resolution could have been more. Dewdrop dance finish power was very good in it. So, according to the price tag, I did not like the display. You get a normal display here.

A dual-camera setup has been given at the rear – a 13-megapixel sensor along with a Bokeh sensor. The front camera is only 5 megapixels, and you get an LED flash with the front camera too. If we talk about the quality, then I have clicked some images from the front and both cameras. I have got normal quality. If you are not able to click images of good quality, then you get normal security cameras. And you can click images from both the front and rear cameras. You can click images in good lighting conditions. If you are a camera lover, then you can ignore it. Its cameras are not as good as the price tag. Cameras are of very low quality. Good cameras could have been installed, but as you are getting to know the situation, according to this, the company has done a lot of doctoring. If you have cameras inside your smartphone, you will get low quality from it. You will not get such good quality.

Tecno Spark Go 2024 has its operating system based on Android 12. Out of the box, you get the support of Android 12. Talking about it, the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset is installed here. Tecno Spark Go 2024 comes with a 5000 mAh battery and 10-watt charging support. Fast charging is not given here. The specification is good, but its price is high. The price has been kept very high. The biggest drawback I think is the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, which is of very low quality and does not justify itself. Now, what will be the problem with this? First of all, the phone will heat up with this chipset. The second thing is that you will have a lot of problems while using it. You leave gaming. Gaming is a far-away thing. The phone will become slow. The quality of the display is a little less. With good lighting conditions, you can click a good image, but you can’t change the chipset. You can’t compromise with it.
